RJS ELECTRICs Construction electricians are well equipped to perform the design and installation of electrical systems including: electrical wiring, devices, fixtures and machinery in residential, commercial and industrial locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code/ANSI.

RJS ELECTRICs Industrial maintenance electricians and industrial maintenance mechanics perform preventive maintenance, OSHA inspections, diagnostic testing, casualty analysis and corrective maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment. We specialize in Overhead Crane Repair and the service of Stacker Cranes, hoists, electrical controls, mechanical controls, motors, variable speed drives (VFD) and programmable logic controllers. (PLC)

Our Automated and process control systems technicians install, test, align, troubleshoot and repair technically challenging integrated control systems that include electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components and their associated sensors and instrumentation.

RJS ELECTRICs Electricians are properly trained and experienced for/in:

 *Electrical construction practices and techniques used to fabricate  Mechanical and electrical systems.

 *Industrial electrical maintenance practices and techniques used to test, inspect, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of industrial electrical, commercial electrical, residential electrical, Industrial mechanical, and commercial mechanical equipment and systems.

  • OVERHEAD CRANE INSPECTION as required by OSHA

    • Complete inspection of overhead cranes and hoists at intervals of at least every 12 months, and as often as every month depending upon the activity, severity of service and environment. OSHA 1910.179(j)(3)
    • Crane Inspection and load test prior to initial use of all new and altered overhead cranes and hoists to ensure compliance of all function of hoisting and lowering, trolley travel, bridge travel, limit switches, locking and safety devices. OSHA 1910.179(j)(k)
    • Inspection of overhead cranes not in regular use. An overhead crane which has been idle for a period of 1 month or more, but less then 6 months, shall be given an inspection conforming with requirements of OSHA 1910.179(j)(m)(2). An Overhead Crane which has been idle for a period over 6 months shall be given an inspection conforming with requirements of OSHA 1910.179(j)(m)(2)(3).
    • Monthly hook inspection with certification record which includes the date of Crane inspection, the signature of the person who performed the Crane inspection and the serial or ID number of the chain inspected. OSHA 1910.179(2)(iv)
    • Monthly wire rope inspection with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial or ID number of the rope inspected. OSHA 1910.179(m)
    • An overhead crane preventive maintenance program based on the crane manufacturer's recommendations shall be established. OSHA 1910.179(l)(1)
    • Adjustments and repairs shall be done only by designated personnel. OSHA 1910.179 (3). *Designated means selected or assigned by the employer’s representative as being qualified to perform specific duties. OSHA 1910.179(a)(35)

    All the above must be documented signed and dated. The records you maintain are the first thing an OSHA inspector will request.
